Though applications may vary, a good rule of thumb is 20 to 30 gallons. The drawdown volume is a percentage of the volume of the tank. Percentage of drawdown can be found in Chapter 4 of the Armstrong Pressure Booster Systems Designer’s Handbook or by using the ArmCalc booster system sizing and selection software.
