How much upkeep does granite require?
One of the best attributes of granite is its ease to maintain. All that is required is daily cleaning (soap and water is best) and yearly sealing. It is imperative that you seal your countertops at least once a year to prevent staining. Granite is vulnerable to stains from any oil based substance (grease, cooking oil, butter, etc.), however, with yearly sealing will prevent your countertops from being stained.
