How much unreleased Lee Perry material is out there?
That’s hard to say. There are two types of material to consider: music that has been released on vinyl but hasn’t been re-released on CD, and music that was recorded but never released. With the former, there is easily enough material to fill more than a dozen CDs. With the latter, it’s anybody’s guess. Every now and then an unreleased song or an alternate take will be discovered on the master tapes, but knowing how much of this music exists is pretty much impossible.
