How much transactional history should be converted?

There are different schools of thoughts on thisbut heres mine: Only convert as much history as you need, not as much as you want. This advice is contingent on your company having access to your prior system. From a financial accounting perspective, I would bring over the current year summarized or individual transactions. If you do prior year comparative reporting, then you will want to bring over the prior year transactions. Beyond that you have diminishing returns. Why? Because the human cost of having to balance these transactions outweighs the benefits received.
