How much total RNA is required for microarray experiments? What is the minimum amount of total RNA needed for microarray experiments?

We require 10 µg of total RNA diluted in 8 µL of nuclease free water for microarray experiments. We typically get good results using 10 µg total RNA using the Affymetrix protocol (see protocols). We have also had good results using smaller amounts of total RNA (10 ng to 100 ng) following two-cycle target labeling assay.
