How much time will the PGCLTHE take?
Each module is nominally 300 hours learning activity, or 10 hours per week in term time. However, included in that is all the preparation for teaching, teaching, marking and associated activities that you undertake as part of your normal workload. The contact time is just 3 hours per fortnight during term time. However, it is recommended that you set aside at least half a day per week as between the fortnightly taught session you will be asked to undertake various activities such as reading articles or book chapters, carrying out small tasks online, and writing formative assignments.
