The engagement process is scheduled to take place from August to November 13, 2009. It is important to remember that the Court has given the federal government one year to proceed with amendments. This is an extremely short timeframe for Parliament to consider amendments regarding a complex issue, which is why the government is acting quickly to develop legislation.
