How much time needs to be invested in a horse before he is adoptable?
We need at least 30 days. 30 days will give us a good chance to feel him out, because he may be great during our first encounter, and then show a need for work during the next encounter. 30 days also gives us a good chance to evaluate what kind of owner a particular horse might need. However, there are some horses we work with for over a year due to illness, injury, or perhaps past abuse.
