At present it takes 12 months to get Australia/Canada PR visa. Anyone who tells you that it can be done in 6-9 months is definitely fooling you. This much time was taken during 2004-2005. Currently processing time has increased & hence it takes 12 months. For NZ it takes around 7- 9 months. & for UK it takes around 3 months. However, students who have completed 2 years of education in Australia & applying for PR visa as onshore visa applicants can get visa in 5-6 months.
