How much time does it take to participate in an ACCA MIX Group?
MIX groups are an investment whose return can be huge — but to get the return, you have to make the investment, especially of your time. We get lots of calls from contractors who say they want to join a MIX Group but don’t want to travel or go to meetings. We’re not sure what they’re looking for, but it’s not a MIX Group! Typically groups meet in the fall and the spring, since these are slower periods in most contractors’ businesses and allow them greater freedom of travel. The meetings generally last 3-4 days. Additionally, the groups require some preparation time (particularly for the host contractor) to put together the financials and other vital materials for the meeting to be a successful one.
