How much time does it take for liver swelling to heal? Does the disorder of liver affect gastric function and cause vomiting sensation?
A. Swelling of the liver can take some time to get better but it depends on the original cause/diagnosis of the problem. The swelling is usually caused by the cells in the liver becoming inflamed. If the cause is removed e.g. an infection or alcohol, then it will gradually settle down. Gastric discomfort and vomiting can be related to some kinds of liver disease – and again this will get better once the problem has resolved.
