How much time does an animal have before it is euthanized?

There are no time limits. As long as an animal is healthy and happy and we have space, we will keep him/her until he/she is adopted. Additionally, we utilize foster homes to increase the space we have available. At any given time, we average 150 animals in foster homes. This doubles the capacity of Heartland to shelter animals.
