All policies delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or after June 11, 2003 (effective date of SB 14) must be in compliance with this requirement, except pursuant to Article 5.172, this subchapter does not apply to a county mutual insurance company, a Lloyd’s plan, and a reciprocal or interinsurance exchange before January 1, 2004.
