How much time can employees be out until they need to provide their supervisor with a doctors note?
The supervisor may require a medical certificate from a health care provider to verify illnesses lasting three working days or more before allowing an employee to return to work. However, should there be any reason to question an absence of two consecutive days or less because of repeated absences, the supervisor may request a verification of illness from a health care provider.
