How much time, approximately, will it take to put together an IDEA Grant?
That, of course, will vary with each proposal depending on the complexity of the grant and the information that you will need to gather. Since it will enhance the success of your application to have the strong support of your department and the distance education office in your college and/or within DELTA, you will need to factor in meeting times with your department head and with your college’s DE coordinator. You may also wish to schedule an IDEA Grants Consultation. The consultations usually last about an hour. It would not be unreasonable to spend 5 – 20 hours over a period of several weeks, to pull a good proposal together and prepare it for submission.
