Crime coverage for a residence is available under the FAIR Plan’s Ohio Crime Insurance Program. To apply for coverage, OCI-R-1- the Application for Residential Crime Insurance Policy must be completed, be accompanied by the appropriate premium, and be forwarded to OFP. Coverage is available for $1000, $3000, $5000, $7000, and $10,000. Coverage will be effective the day following the U.S. Post Office postmark and will be provided under a separate and “stand-alone” policy. There are very specific Protective Device Requirements for a property to qualify for crime insurance coverage. These requirements are indicated on the Application for Residential Crime Insurance Policy.
