You can have as much text as you like, but try to keep it brief. Your Home page should have say 1 or 2 paragraphs about WHY visitors should order your services or products and why they should order them NOW (e.g. you could offer a FREE bonus gift with every order this month). The Contact US and Site Search pages contain forms and so don’t need a lot of text. The About Us page should contain more text; this is where you can tell your visitors how good your business is, etc.
