I have a north-facing garden behind the house, and it gets sun from early morning until around noon, and when the sun moves beyond the side of the house, the garden has sun again from 2pm until sunset. How much sun you’ll get depends on how tall your house is, and how much of a shadow it will cast on your garden. If your garden is the usual long and narrow type, you have nothing to worry about. During high-summer, I actually enjoy a spot of shade so I can cool off a bit!
