How much spending money to take to Thailand (roughly)?
All of us spend money differently there is no one answer for your question. Use this for a rough estimate – figure on spending the same amount of money you would if you were on holiday in your own capital city! You can add another 20% if you want. If you spend less you made out, at least you will have a rough idea of what to bring. You can always have a debit card available if you enjoy yourself so much you over spend your budget. You have to notify your bank that you may be using your credit or debit cards overseas or any ATM withdrawal may be denied because they suspect fraud. It is less trouble to spend a few nights in Bangkok in the beginning of your trip and a final night in Bangkok before you fly home than to land at Suvarnabhumi and immediately try to fly out to Phuket. Why fly all the way to Thailand and not see Bangkok, the most important and popular city in Thailand?? Why can’t you do Bangkok, Phuket and Samui?
