How much space is needed per person in a tent at an outdoor wedding? Is there a formula?

Yes. When I looked into renting a tent, it was about 10 sqft pp for rectangular tables, 12 sqft pp for round tables, and then 3 sqft pp for a dance floor plus whatever you need for buffet and DJ and cake.
