How much should you save up before backpacking europe for a year?
Europe is an expnsive continent. Even backpacking is expensive! No matter what you have to pay for a place to stay at night (a bed in dorm would probably be about 30 Euros /40 USD. Then you have to pay for food and whatever you want to do that day and the travelling in itself a trainpass also cost money. If you want to really experience Europe and do activities and so on I would say at least 100 USD per day, but I’d rather have 150 USD per day and stay for a shorter amount of time, unless you’d like to work while travelling. This is not including airfare to and from Europe.
