How much should you feed a 35 pound dog in cup measurements?
It depends on the food you are feeding and how active your dog is. One of my dogs is 35 pounds and only eats about one cup of food a day. The food I feed is 35% protein and 25% fat. A very high energy food for very active dogs. If you fed this to a inactive dog it would become fat very quickly. Your feed should have a recommended feed amount based on weight listed on the bag. You should start with that and adjust if you see your dog is gaining too much weight or loosing too much weight. Most dogs will want to eat much more than they actually need for maintaining their optimum weight.
