How much should you expect to pay for a knock off purse in Manhattan?
Thanks to Gulliani it’s a bit tougher to find really in expensive knock-offs. The best way to find a cheep one is to look for the guys who are selling with out a permit. You can tell who they are because they have thier stuff in a bag and ready to run with should the police be aproaching. These guys are always easy to talk down anywhere from %10-%50, depending on how persusave you are, and how much they want to sell to you. The people who are set up at tables are much more difficult to knock down; normally they’ll only come downa few dollars. If a purse is $25, normally you can pull out a $20 and say that’s all you have, and they’ll sell it. Typical prices (even though it’s been a couple years for me, I could be wrong) range from $5 for a wallet sized clutch, to $10-15 for a small clutch, to $20-30 for a larger bag.
