No way of telling. It depends on where you have to search for records. Certificates cost £7 each from the Registrar General, but go back beyond 1837, when you have to search through Church registers and library archives, and you are talking about transport and accommodation costs, depending on how far you have to travel, and the type of area in which you are searching.
