How much should I rely on computer software—can it correct grammatical errors, misspellings, and other errors?
Software can catch some errors, but not every error. Also, some “corrections” are incorrect, and pop-up questions too often create unnecessary confusion– and more errors. Software improvements are made each year, but these incremental improvements are no substitute for a human being who knows the fundamentals of good writing.
