How much should I pay for a KC reg Pomeranian puppy?

Why do you want your dog to be KC registered? KC registration in itself basically says that your dog is purebred. Many dogs (such as perhaps your Pom and Chihuahua) are purebred without KC papers. If you just want it as a pet, KC papers don’t mean that much. Therefore, I’d think it may be about the same price you paid for the other dogs. If you plan on showing or breeding your pedigreed pup, then of course you’d pay more for a dog that is genetically sound to pass on its genes. That varies a lot. Depends on how good of an animal you can get. If you are buying a dog to show or breed, make sure that the breeder actually knows what he’s talking about. Some breeders charge more for “breeding” or “show-quality” dogs when they don’t have a clue how to recognize it themselves. See if the parents (NOT the grandparents, great-grandparents, etc.) have KC titles. This is a good sign that the breeder shows himself and has at least an inkling of what a quality animal looks like.
