This depends on many factors, but for a 76-key (38-button) double-reed concertina that needs some work, expect to pay about $150. For a new 104-key (52-button) quadruple reed, expect to pay about $8,000. In-between types will be whatever the market will bear. Since the closing of Star Concertina (in Cicero, Illinois) in August 2000, I have noticed a considerable increase in prices of instruments at auction.
