How much should a dancer weigh?
Don’t set a drastic weight goal and kill yourself to achieve it. Remember that if you maintain a healthy weight according to your height and tone your muscles you will have the strength to make yourself lighter. If you can maintain proper muscle control then it will be easier for you to be lifted by a male partner. Don’t worry about 5 or 10 extra pounds, instead learn to control your body and then you will seem lighter and easier to lift. Remember for your height a healthy weight should be 108-124 pounds. Don’t harm yourself to be a dancer it will eventually wear on you and possibly end your career sooner than you want. Always remember to take care of yourself!
