How much scope is there for varying the indicators and their use between the science-based subject groups?
Our starting point is that the same indicators should be used for all the subject groups. However, we recognise there may be reasons for some variation. This includes the potential use of additional indicators for specific subject groups, where they would reflect essential elements of research. We also envisage that the weightings of indicators could vary between subject groups. We will take advice from the expert panels on this.
