How much research did In Plain Sight take?
A lot of it about Ivy came out of my own life. But I did have to research some facts about how the police do things, about big dogs, plus quite a bit about the Arkansas setting. The first book in the series, Invisible, is set in Missouri, which I also had to research. My idea with this series is to keep Ivy moving, so each book will be set in a different place. I chose the Midwest primarily because Ive done a lot of books in the Northwest area where I live, and I wanted to do something different.
