How much recording time does the FE-280 have?
The amount of available movie recording time depends on the quality mode used to shoot the movies and the length of each shot. Two factors comprise a quality mode: image size (that is, the resolution of each frame in the movie) and frame rate (the number of frames that are stored per second of recording time). The SHQ quality mode uses the largest image size and fastest frame rate, so it produces the highest-quality movie files; however, the files will be larger than recordings of equal duration that were shot using the other quality modes. Therefore, SHQ mode will exhaust storage capacity more quickly. In movie mode, the FE-280 can, in most cases, record continuously for 29 minutes or until the capacity of the storage medium is exhausted, whichever occurs first. When using Standard or Type M xD-Picture Card media or the camera’s internal memory, the maximum recording time per movie in the SHQ quality mode is 10 seconds.
