How much pressure is lost when the water flows through the Spray Smart valve in the open position?
While the valve may look like it would cause a noticeable pressure drop, it actually doesn’t. The spray smart valve will lose about 1 psi for each GPM (Gallons Per Minute) that passes through it. Typical spray heads use around 1 GPM at normal pressures, so the loss of pressure would not be noticeable. Even a large “impact rotor” will only use about 4 GPM and would have very little pressure loss (4 psi) through the Spray Smart valve.
