A. The SolarFlare™ heater uses 1500 watts. That is less than some coffee makers! And by using the SolarFlare™ infrared heater model with the Opti-Switch feature, you can reduce the wattage as low as 1000 watts, thus reducing the amount of electricity by 50%. A great feature as we move closer to spring or in smaller rooms not requiring the full 1500 watts.
