If using premium or gourmet popcorn, reduce the amount of corn to 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 1/4 cups respectively, using the same amount of oil. This will prevent the cover from lifting off the base due to the increased volume obtained using these grades of popcorn. For 2 quarts of popcorn use 1 tablesoon vegetable oil and 1/3 cup popcorn. For 4 quarts of popcorn use 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 2/3 cup popcorn. For 6 quarts of popcorn use 3 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1 cup popcorn. For 8 quarts of popcorn use 3 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1 1/4 cup popcorn. For 8 quart model only; do not attempt to make this amount of popcorn in a 6 quart model. Attach stir rod to base with knob. Add oil and popcorn to base, cover with handles aligned and plug in.
