How much peptide antigen is required for antibody development?

0

A minimum of 2 mg immunogen (usually peptide-KLH) and 2 mg screening antigen (usually peptide-BSA) are needed for one rabbit with our standard immunization protocol. For a phospho-peptide antigen, an additional 2 mg counter-screen non-phosphopeptide is needed. More antigen (2 – 8 mg) will be necessary if you choose additional services such as multiple rabbits, affinity purification or monoclonal antibody production.
