In 2009 the trail was connected and completed at the Rover Run Dog Park in Greeley. Trail users can view the Golden Spike momument that commemorates the hard work that it took to complete the trail from Windsor to Greeley. A new River Bluffs section has recently been completed by Larimer County just west of Windsor. The trailhead includes bathrooms, drinking fountains, and plenty of parking. Now Larimer County is working on constructing the next section to the north in an effort to connect with future projects in Fort Collins to create a true regional trail!
