How much of the restitution recommended by the division was ordered by the court?
In Fiscal Year 2007-08, court-ordered restitution was 179% of the amount recommended by the department for fraud investigations. This amount exceeded the legislative standard of 70%. The addition of dedicated prosecutors and the filling of vacant FTE positions contributed to an increase in cases presented and the resulting amount of restitution ordered by the court.
