How much of the proposed project is for our Physical Education and athletics areas?
The proposed plan includes several components that meet our Physical Education and athletic program needs, including a full-size competition gym with bleachers, an 8-lane competitive pool with separate locker room facilities, replacing the tennis courts, and resurfacing and expanding the track from 6 to 8 lanes. The football field will remain unchanged. Due to the proposed new construction, the existing baseball diamond and Physical Education/practice football field will be relocated across Taft Street in front of the Middle School. These items are all included in the proposed $45.6M cost, with the major elements broken down as follows: Gym: $4.8M Pool: $3.
