The FLEX-5000’s low level hardware is controlled by internal firmware. The firmware responds to commands from FlexRadio PowerSDR and acts appropriately. The FLEX-5000 will have hardware (Firewire) device drivers that are to be separately installed similar to those provided with PC sound cards.
