How much of the exam depends on calculator use?
Both the multiple-choice and free-response sections of the exams have one part on which the use of calculators is required. On the other parts, use of the calculator is prohibited. Of the six free-response questions, there are three on which students are allowed to use calculators. However, some of these questions may not be conducive to the use of calculators or may only peripherally use the calculator. The student must understand when to use and when not to use the calculator.
