How much of RUDAK works?
So far everything that has been tested. That includes: • Both processors. Some crashes have been experienced but they have been attributed to software • All or nearly all of the 16 MB of EDAC memory on each processor • The CAN bus and IHU links to and from both processors • The temperature nodes (two temp sensors were bad prior to launch and remain bad) • The CEDEX experiment. The hardware works and some tantalizing data has been collected. Some software problems have prevented continuous operation. • The SCOPE cameras. Both cameras have been used to take pictures that show everything is working fine. The software used was diagnostic in nature and is cumbersome and slow to use. Development is underway on operational software. • The GPS receivers. To nearly everyone’s surprise they still worked after more than a year on orbit. And they have provided many MB of very interesting data on the strengths of signals from GPS satellites from all points in the AO-40 orbit. Overall, the RUDAK har
