How much of our nations land is federally protected as Wilderness?
More than 107 million acres of public lands are protected as wilderness by law today less than five percent of our nations cherished landmass. Seven of every eight acres of wilderness quality public land administered on behalf of Americans by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management currently lacks legal protection as wilderness.
