How much of my United Way donation goes to programs and services?
United Way has a long tradition as the leader in low-cost community impact – just ask the Better Business Bureau! Our proven consolidated fundraising concept, combined with the generous efforts of our campaign volunteers, helps us maintain low costs and high efficiency. UWNCA has continued to lower administrative fees for our member agenies for conducting fundraising and fund distribution on behalf of our more than 900 member agencies. This year, UWNCA estimates that an additional $1.5 million will benefit the community based on the lower fees. For member agencies there is a 5% flat fee.

For member agencies there is a 9% fee for standard donations, and an 8% administrative fee for donations made through workplace campaigns employing our electronic giving platform. Donations made to non-member organizations are assessed a 15% fee.
