How much of currency can be brought into India by a passenger ?
There is no limit. However, declaration before Customs in the prescribed Currency Declaration Form (CDF) to be given in the following cases:- (a) Where the value of foreign currency notes (cash) exceeds US$ 5000/- or equivalent (b) Where the aggregate value of foreign exchange (in the form of cash + bank notes, traveler cheques etc.) exceeds US$ 10,000/- or its equivalent.
