How much of a dream come true was getting a book published?

Being a published author was something I’d dreamed of since childhood. By the time I was offered a publishing contract, I had nearly given up hope it would ever happen. Sometimes it’s still hard for me to believe all that’s happened in the last year and a half. I’m not sure I deserve all this good fortune, but I’ll take it.
