if you have been with bt services for your landline and internet services for over twelve months then you have to give them 28 days notice in writing telling them that you wish to terminate your services and that this will take effect 28 days from receipt of your letter,if you do it this way rather than over the telephone you will always be able to return to bt hope this helps
