HP Virtual Rooms VoIP uses approximately 32 k bits per second, per stream, when there is continuous audio (as in music playing). For normal speaking, the average bit rate is 20 k bits per second. This is because with silence suppression, talking uses significantly less bandwidth than music (even with constant talking). Note: These VoIP bandwidth numbers include the TCP/IP/Ethernet stack. Your network bandwidth, as well as latency in any connection point, can impact your actual VoIP performance.
