How much network bandwidth does DocPoint require?
DocPoint queries are optimized so that complex queries are performed on the server, and less complex queries on the workstation. Information transmitted between the server and the client is compressed to reduce bandwidth. We have successfully deployed DocPoint across organizations with remote offices. Our experience suggests that when performing queries that produce large output data bandwidth becomes a factor. In such situations some of our clients increased their Internet connection speed to minimize client/server response time.
