How much money was Andrew Johns getting per year?
I very much doubt that Jonathon Thurston is being paid or is going to be getting $700,000 a year from the Cowboys. Maybe he might have a third party agreement as well as his contract with the Cowboys that might between them add up to $700k a year. I don’t think any club can afford to spend $700k of their $4.1 M salry cap on just one player, no matter how good he may be, even Johns wouldn’t get that money if he was playing today. I have read in a newspaper ( whether it’s true or not is another thing ) that Lockyer is on $800k a year but $300k of that is from third party agreements and only $500k is coming from the Broncos.
