Many State Police Agencies have bodyguards for dignitaries in State Government and visiting VIP’s. Usually they will hold the rank of Trooper through Capt. and they will be paid acordingly. Depending upon what the rank and pay structure of the agency is, they will be paid anywhere from 40,000 to 80,000 a year plus expences.
